     Originally bred for royalty, the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel is the perfect companion dog. The Cavalier is extremely playful and inquisitive, very happy and free in spirit, they love companionship.

     When choosing your Cavalier, make sure you do the proper research. You want to make sure you are buying from a reputable breeder. Make sure you know about the home your puppy is coming from. If you can't make a personal visit to a home you are considering purchasing a puppy from, make sure you ask several questions, consider asking for references. Ask if the parents are heart and eye certified, if they offer a health guarantee.   If not, you should seriously think about looking for a Cavalier elsewhere.

     Above all, remember that dogs need attention! Owners must be sure that they can offer the time that is required of dog ownership. Cavaliers can be hard to resist because of their sweet temperaments and loving nature. Make sure the decision to add a Cavalier to your life is a carefully considered one.
